Dartmoor holiday – 2015

Well I have finally finished editing the pictures taken on our holiday to Dartmoor in July 2015.  Below is one of my favorites from the series.

Watching for the sunshine – Weekly Photo Challenge: Optimistic

This weeks challenge is the word “Optimistic”.  So here is one of my Talismans of optimism, his name is Roswell, and as an added bonus this also shows him in optimistic mood, waiting for the rain to stop so he can venture out.

The ghost of a pasty – Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge: Any Kind of Bricks or Stone Walls, Walks or Roads.

So for Cee’s B&W challenge this week, I thought I would go with ‘Walls’.   So here is a photo of a tunnel that leads to a mine shaft at Levant Mine in Cornwall.  It was one of those shots you take where you are not sure why, but it certainly fits the bill for the brief of a stone wall, and maybe a walk as well.  I could almost feel the old miners brushing past, leaving their belongings in the wall shelves.
