This week Nancy has challenged us with the topic of ‘Black and White’.
Well I could probably work back over a number of photos to see what they would look like in a monochromatic format, but when I took this one it was how I imagined it. A reminder that we are ever present in our photographs, even though we usually attempt to stay invisible. We are subjective artists simply by our acts of composition and post processing choices we make, is it possible to ever have an objective photograph? Can we ever create an unbiased photographic image? Should we just point and shoot? and surely them the camera itself becomes a subjective player. Perhaps a modern objective photograph would just be a series of ones and zeros.

I love when I discover shadows in my photos!

Sometimes they are fortuitous, sometimes not, and sometimes, but only sometimes they are planned.
