This week Nancy has challenged us with the topic of ‘Shimmer’, saying:
It is so much fun to play with light, especially natural light. When shooting outdoors, the sun can be your best friend or your worst enemy. . . . SHARE A PHOTO OR TWO (OR MORE) THAT SHIMMER.
Last year we spent a week in Dumfries and Galloway, we stayed in a little house on the banks of the river Nith at Glencaple, it was glorious. On several of the evenings we got to walk along side the Nith as the sun was setting, this provided some beautiful images for my camera to drink in. The light was wonderful, and as always I took far to many photos, easily doubling the length of time it would take us to walk from our little house into Glencaple itself. I have used several photos of the Nith for previous challenges, but it was just too glorious not to use another one, and to have the enjoyment of re-editing it.
I had a hard time deciding between the colour image and the silvery monochrome image for this one, and in the end I thought I may as well use both!
