Each week Kammie challenges us to post an oddball photo:
Odd Ball Photos are those great photos that you take which really don’t seem to fit into a common category. We’ve all taken them and like them, because we just can’t hit delete and get rid of them.
While I do not rate this as an oddball from the perspective that I have taken it, it is after all a sculpture that I quite liked the look of. I think it can qualify as an oddball due to the subject matter – Person sat reading on top of an oxen, is it comfy? Does it stay still? Perhaps they are reading a map and are lost!
‘Reading’, Dyffryn Gardens, 2019.

While strikingly beautiful in its own right, I do find it odd and intriguing. I’d be very curious the back story on this one. Thank you for sharing!

Thanks Phil, and after having a look I can’t believe I am saying this but I do not think I have ever seen ‘The Innocents’, or if I have it has slipped into that realm of hazy memory! I think I will have to rectify that.

I saw it when I was a young kid and it really spooked me out. Those images from that country house garden reminded me of some scenes; it looks all perfectly charming on the surface but there’s a strange atmosphere, and something else might be going on that is just out of shot….😉
