This weekend GC and SueW have chosen the following as the theme for their challenge.
Close-up, close to, close shave, close off, close the door! Contrasting definitions of the one spelling.
This is one of those words in the English language that varies in definition by the way it is pronounced. Close ( clothes) the door cannot be confused with a close (klos) shave.
Well so much for your linguistic lesson for this week. 😀
Which one will you choose? We can’t wait to find out!
Interpret this challenge in any way you choose; photographs, a piece of writing, or rhyme. Whatever your choice, have fun with it!
So a ‘close-up’ of a Red Admiral about to ‘close’ its wings, well it may have been opening them but I claim artistic licence. I might have cropped it a bit ‘close-r’ but I did not realise how scary their faces were!
