This weeks challenge from the Lens-Artists asks:
Outside, the sun is shining and the birds are singing – it is a beautiful morning in my garden. For this week, I had already chosen Chaos, not knowing how well this would apply to what many of us are living in right now. Thinking about it this early Spring morning… it all feels unreal. But, the world is still standing, and the sun is still shining.
“Each smallest act of kindness, reverberates across great distances and spans of time . . . affecting lives unknown to the one who’s generous spirit, was the source of this good echo. Because kindness is passed on and grows each time it’s passed until a simple courtesy becomes an act of selfless courage, years later, and far away. Likewise, each small meanness, each expression of hatred, each act of evil.”

Wishing you all the very best, stay well.

What an amazing image Ken. How did you get the butterfly to be so clear, or did you combine two images? In either case, I loved it. And really loved the quote as well.

Hi Tina, yes I got a nice clean image of the butterfly then combined it with a double exposure of the same image rotated and blurred, then another couple of texture layers, all the while keeping the butterfly itself masked out, so it was left unaffected.

Wonderful image, Ken. The quote is fabulous and wonderfully true–especially now.

Indeed – we are living in ‘interesting times’, were the results off one small action can have ripples that extend out globally. And where inaction can be both good and bad!
