the prompt for the Friendly Friday Photo Challenge, this week, is:

So following Amanda’s lead here are some more Yellow houses from Denmark!

‘Primary’, Roskilde, 2017.

  1. Now you are pulling at my heart strings, Ken. Showing me photos of Roskilde is making me homesick for Denmark. I love the angle you chose for this photo. It makes the houses look Lilliputian! Thanks for joining in on Friendly Friday.

    • I do hope to go back, I was only in Denmark for just under a week, only visited once, but I loved it, and I loved the people that I met and interactions that took place. For a committed Welshman and subject to Hiraeth every time I leave, it was a very homely place to visit! Take care, stay safe, Ken

      • It is hard to explain but – Hiraeth (Welsh pronunciation: [hɪraɨ̯θ, hiːrai̯θ]) is a Welsh word for homesickness or nostalgia, an earnest longing or desire, or a sense of regret. – But most Welsh people will tell you it is so much more than that!

      • I like these named cultural traditions. It reminds me a bit of the cosy atmospheric concept, called hygge- hard to translate but cosy and fun to do.
