Lord & Lady Pierce-Humphreys – Postcard from the Grand Tour (May 5th) – #lockdownstaycation – Day 6.

Postcard from Cornwall.

We set off early and arrived at an inn of good repute, on Bodmin moor.

Shortly after we had stowed our luggage, and then headed to the coast just in time for luncheon!  Lord Pierce-Humphreys was pleased to discover this pastry had a substantial filling.  The locals called it a “Parrsteee”.

Always on the look out for new business ventures, Lord Pierce-Humphreys ensured that we had soon made the acquaintance of a local mine owner.  Lady Pierce-Humphreys was more than happy.

Later in the afternoon we had a cream tea, where Lord Pierce-Humphreys proved he knew how to cream a scone.

Later in the evening Lady Pierce-Humphreys looked after the Inn while Lord Pierce-Humphreys, at the invitation of the landlord, was taking part in an activity that the locals called ‘wrecking’.

Created as part of an ongoing collaborative project with Arra Stoneglade.
