Meg

Challenge: Which Way photo challenge – December 30
Topic: December 30

Long Meg and her Daughters

Once my offspring were whole
Arrayed before me
A circle of joy

Then came a new rhetoric
It cut, bisected, split
Tried to tear apart the old

A linear imposition
Upon my liminal womb
Where knowledge once held

The whole halved
Separated by modernity
The contained seeping out

Yet still I endure
To welcome you
And enfold you one again
