Ok so while not entirely sticking to the brief, the first photo was the next in my list to be edited, well its vaguely red, with some white. Both photos were taken during this years visit to Dartmoor. If you want to see other entrants to CEE’S FUN FOTO CHALLENGE: RED FLOWERS click here.
This weeks Daily Post Photography challenge is that of Gatherings, so I thought I would post a couple of photos taken at this years Pentreffest festival, a gathering of like minded people who come together to dance, sing, play music, have a good time, and share friendship.
Once again it is far to long since I have posted here, ‘real’ life once again imposing on fun. However I have been working on some photos of our holiday in Dartmoor in July 2015, those of you who follow me on Facebook have been bombarded by these recently. So when I saw Cee’s title of Metal and Wood I knew just the picture I wanted to use.
I thought that for this weeks entry into the Daily Post photo challenge, that of ‘Treat’, I would post the following photo.
A double treat:
Ice cream – an indulgence we succumb to while on holiday, often one a day, trying to find the oddest flavours.
Portreath beach – a treat for Karen, who loves it here as it brings back childhood memories.
I can’t remember what the flavours were – only that they were good.

The challenge set this week is to post a picture of your Happy place – “Where do you go when you need to think? What do you do when you need to restore yourself, to ready yourself to take on the coming week with energy and verve? How do you get your sense of humor back? How do you recharge your groove?”
Those of you who know me, or just follow me here may guess what my picture will be of this week – Cornwall, Wales, Ancient sites, the Sea, the Forests, the Mountains, Dancing, Music, Spirituality, Love, Karen. Any one of those help me through the daily grind and inspire the creativity within.
So what will I choose from these words?

Cee’s B&W challenge this week is that of ‘Perspective’, so here is a shot taken in the gardens of Coleton Fishacre during our July trip to Dartmoor and the surrounding area. This is one of those photos that just happened, and I am not at all sure why I walked into the centre of all this bamboo and took it, but I am glad I did.

This weeks WordPress photo challenge is that of ‘Monochromatic’, I think this fits the bill nicely.
It is a picture of a Stick insect that was living on a large plant at ‘Glendurgan’ gardens Cornwall, we were only alerted to its presence by the sign nearby, which asked, can you find the family of stick insects. Apparently they have been residents of the garden for a long while.
