This week GC and SueW have chosen the following as the theme for their challenge.
The midweek word/photo challenge on Susan and my site is Family Albums..
Last year I finished scanning an old family album, I then continued to scan some loose family photos, and I still have many more to get through, one day I may find out who some of the people are. This is one from that set.
So following on from yesterdays photos, recently scanned from an old family album, I thought I would share this one as well. He looks like there are plenty of stories he could tell. I think authoritarian would be the immediate word that would spring to mind as I look at this photo.
And does that say ‘Judge Cope’ or ‘Judge Pope’ or maybe neither! Neither surname is one I recognise from the family, so how this fits in the album is yet another mystery to explore, but I get the feeling this gentleman may be quite visible if I go looking for him.
I have been scanning some photos from an old family album, and doing a little digital reparation. This gentleman appears regularly, but as with so many of these photos, alas I have no idea who he is or what his story was. But he looks quite a character, so I thought I might share him with you.
This was taken in the Richmond area of Melbourne, Australia, sometime around the end of the 1800’s as another slightly younger photo of him is dated 1881. Here his is again, slightly older I feel, and with who I assume is his wife.
