Arches – Friendly Friday Photography Challenge – Fake

This Friday we are challenged with:

I’m not a photography purist but I know many people are quite opinionated about heavy photo editing. Well, here is your chance to do it with permission – let’s be fake this Friday!
If you’re not into the idea of photo editing, there are other ways to interpret the theme. You could, for instance, post photos of plastic flowers, the contents of your makeup bag, or even a tofu burger. The options are unlimited!

I quite often embrace what some people see as fake when I edit my photos, I see them as just another way to express my artistic side.  So here is a very fake photo for you.

Above of below – Tuesday Photo Challenge – Overhead

This week Frank challenges us with the topic:

As I often take the time to look at things around me from a different angle, I thought that Overhead might make a good theme. Of course, you can feel free to interpret the theme in any direction that you may wish, as the word has multiple meanings in the English language!

I thought that instead of using a photo of what was ‘overhead’, I would use a photo taken from overhead.  But it also contains another overhead photo, but that resides in my wife’s camera,  perhaps I can convince her to post ‘Below of Above’ :).

Arches – K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge: Unnatural patterns.

Each week, K’lee and Dale offer  prompts for us to consider as the latest challenge.  This week it was Dale with:

Unnatural patterns . . . this week I’d like you to find us some that are completely man-made and artificial.

So here is an interesting pattern made by taking this photo, which has interesting patterns on its own:

‘Arch’, Llanthony Priory, 2014.Arch

And then having a bit of a play with it:

‘Sky eye’, Llanthony Priory, 2014.Sky eye

And after a bit more playing:

‘Block’, Llanthony Priory, 2014.Block

Hmm I wonder if I can get that made up into material so I can make myself a waistcoat from it? Or event this one:

‘Offset’, Llanthony Priory, 2014.Offset
