Not a ball – Kammie’s Oddball Challenge: January 9th, 2020

Each week Kammie challenges us to post an oddball photo:

Odd Ball Photos are those great photos that you take which really don’t seem to fit into a common category.  We’ve all taken them and like them, because we just can’t hit delete and get rid of them.

A winters walk – Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Winter Scenes

This Tuesday Cee has challenged us with – Winter Scenes

I could have gone for a past snowy scene, but given we went for a walk this weekend, up to the Brecon Beacons National Park visitor Centre, and it is winter.

Panorama – One word Sunday Challenge: Overlap

This week Debbie has challenged us with the following:

Welcome to One Word Sunday, and over to all of you to join the challenge with your own overlap post

I take quite a lot of panoramic shots, compositing and stitching the results in Lightroom and Photoshop. Usually you see the end result, however this time I have chosen to show you the 4 photo stitch in its entirety, un-cropped, and therefore showing off where the overlap between photos lies.

Wild and tame – Lens Artists Photo Challenge #64 – Countryside and/or Small Towns

This weeks challenge from the Lens-Artists is:

Tina, Patti, Ann-Christine, and I [Amy] are looking forward to seeing your photos and reading stories of countryside and/or a small town.

I would say that at lest 50% of my photos could fit into this category as I live fairly rural, and my holidays usually take me to rural places, in search of ancient stones I tramp across wild open spaces, through forests, past lakes, up and down hill and mountain, and along public pathways.  Farmland and the ever patient farmers with the walkers on the land are a recurrent theme.  I live in Wales so I have access to some of the UK’s best countryside and small towns, even our big towns and cities are small :).

The countryside and our towns can be both wild and tame, so here are a few photos for you about what this means to me.
