Pay attention – Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Signs: traffic, directional, signs along the roads or on buildings

For this weeks Fun Foto Challenge Cee gives us the topic of ‘Signs:  traffic, directional, signs along the roads or on buildings’.

Those of you who follow my blog and saw my post ‘Hurty head‘, are probably thinking that I should pay more attention to signs such as this one below!

Perhaps as visitors for such a short time we should seek to take care and avoid accidents, but let us live life to the full also.

“Life is one big road with lots of signs. So when you riding through the ruts, don’t complicate your mind. Flee from hate, mischief and jealousy. Don’t bury your thoughts, put your vision to reality. Wake Up and Live!” –  Bob Marley

So many – Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Stairs or Steps

For this weeks Fun Foto Challenge Cee gives us the topic of ‘Stairs or Steps’.  I knew exactly which set of steps I wanted to find a photo of, they are the stairs that lead up to Tintagel castle.

And another shot with the same steps creeping into the left hand of the shot.

Somewhere in France – Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge – Roads: country, freeways, streets

For this weeks Fun Foto Challenge Cee gives us the topic of ‘Roads’.

The following shot was taken when we were returning from a festival in France where my band had been playing.  It is actually a street in Amiens, I am not sure what made me go looking for this photo for this challenge, I just happened to like it I guess.

Golden shadows – Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge – Shadows

For this weeks Fun Foto Challenge Cee gives us the topic of ‘Shadows‘.

The other week my wife called me into our hallway to look at something, as the sun was  setting the light was streaming through our living room window and casting golden shadows on the stairwell wall.  That night I managed to restrain myself from grabbing the camera, and we just enjoyed the moment together, watching the golden light fade.  The following evening I may have had my camera to hand just in case!

Reflective skull – Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge – Shiny

For this weeks Fun Foto Challenge Cee gives us the topic of ‘Shiny’.

Well there were a lot of photos that I could have used for this challenge, however I had already used most for other challenges, and I always like to use something new if possible, although I do sometimes forget what I have used before.

Anyway a previously unedited photo, taken for no apparent reason and therefore unedited, and it is metal and shiny!

So what previous challenge entrants would I have used?  Two come from something I  posted only yesterday, both my bass Tallulah and our new table are shiny, other thoughts were a toy Caterpillar, a shiny red tulip and a rose hip.

Human nature – Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge – Patterns

For this weeks Fun Foto Challenge Cee gives us the topic of ‘Patterns’.

It seems to be human nature to see patterns everywhere, and we go out of our way to create them, often shaping nature’s sometimes chaotic patterns into our own regimented patterns, so that they fit withing the synaptic patterns we wish to see.

So here are a few patterns made by human hands, and the patterns I see when I look at them.

And given I have looked at patterns in architecture, I could not resist a quote from an architect –

Anytime I see an unusual combination of colors or patterns or texture, I buy it. – Peter Marino

My textile cupboard will affirm the above quote!

Water worn – Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge – Smooth

For this weeks Fun Foto Challenge Cee gives us the topic of ‘Smooth’.

I love the way pebbles are worn smooth by the sea, so here is a shot taken at Sandymouth Bay last year.

And another of some smooth stone balancing at Amroth beach.  However I have to admit that it is the texture of last week that makes this possible rather that the apparent smoothness of the stones.

Royalty – Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge – Color of Your Choice

For this weeks Fun Foto Challenge Cee gives us the topic of a ‘Color of Your Choice’.

I am a particular fan of those colours that lie between Red and Blue on the colour wheel, Purple.  Deep purples, Royal purples, Magentas, Lilacs, in fact all shades of purple, especially when they are contrasted against green.  So here are some photos of natures colours of magic.
