Stone – Sunday Stills: Old

This week Hugh again takes over from Teri and challenges us with:

This week’s theme for Sunday Stills is the word OLD. What does the word old mean to you? Are the stars, sun and moon old? They may seem old to you, but to others out there they may seem young.

I am fairly sure this photo will not come as a surprise to those of you who pop by regularly.

Layered Arrow – One word Sunday Challenge: Layered

This week Debbie has challenged us with the following:

Welcome to One Word Sunday, and over to all of you to join the challenge with your own layer post.

I enjoy taking my photos and layering them up with different images, effects, and processes.  So here is one such layered photo.

Monumental thoughts and photographs. – Weekly Prompts: Cover

This weekend GC and SueW have chosen the following as the theme for their challenge.

This weekend the Photo Challenge here on Weekly Prompts is Cover.

Imagine for a moment that you are writing a book and the publisher has asked for a Cover Picture. What will you choose?

Well I can think of a number of entrants for this one, but I think that the below is the most likely to ever become real.

Monumental thoughts and photographs.

I had fun doing this 🙂

Lined Up – Weekly Prompts: Line-up

This weekend GC and SueW have chosen the following as the theme for their challenge.

The Saturday photo challenge here on Weekly Prompts is Line-up.

Lots of possibilities here – Line em up and shoot em… photographs that is!

Line-up – The cast of a theatrical show, a list of players in a sports event, a queue, a row. But You don’t need us to help you out, GC and I are certain you’ll have plenty of ideas of your own so we’ll leave you to it.

The first – two stones that are part of a stone row, a line, lined up, but also lines that go up.

The second – A slightly cheeky entrant of a line that is up!

And finally the third – the Up line from St. Ives to Carbis bay.

Arrow way – Which Way Challenge: July 25, 2019

Each week sonofabeach96 challenges us with the following:

This Which Way challenge is all about capturing the roads, walks, trails, rails, steps, signs, etc. we move from one place to another on.  You can walk on them, climb them, drive them, ride on them, as long as the specific way is visible.  Any angle of a bridge is acceptable as are any signs.

This week I chose this way:

Huge and lovely – Weekly Prompts: Bloom

This weekend GC and SueW have chosen the following as the theme for their challenge.

Our weekend photo challenge here on Weekly Prompts is BLOOM.
Flowers bloom, ladies-in-waiting bloom, youngsters bloom when the delicate transition from childhood is achieved. We adults, begin to bloom when our hopes and dreams are accomplished, or when sought-after independence is finally attained.
How will you bloom, how will you choose to address our challenge?

Two pictures from our recent jaunt up to Yorkshire.

The first showing the blooming magnificence and scale of megalithic structures surrounded by this years corn in bloom!
