This week Tina challenges us with – Neighborhood.
We’re looking forward to seeing what you found interesting this week in your own neighborhood or another that caught your eye and your lens.
So first a recent image of the sunset from our own street.
‘Home wonders’, 2019.
And then secondly it may come as no surprise to those of you that follow my blog that we would live in Cornwall given half the chance. And therefore here is an early evening picture of St. Ives.
‘Maybe in the future.’, St. Ives, 2017.
In this weeks challenge Nancy asks us to share a picture or two with contrasting colours.
Contrasting colors are colors that are on approximately opposite side of the color wheel. Yellow and purple, green and red, blue and orange, and a myriad of variations in-between each of those. Contrasting colors compliment each other and give interest and variety to images.
So here is a shot taken during last years visit to Dumfries and Galloway, when we went for an evening wander along the side of the river Nith, in Glencaple. I love the way the sunset oranges contrasted against the blue still left in the sky, and threw a deeper blue cast over the landscape.
