Fire witch – Kammie’s Oddball Challenge: May 16, 2019

Each week Kammie challenges us to post an oddball photo:

Odd Ball Photos are those great photos that you take which really don’t seem to fit into a common category.  We’ve all taken them and like them, because we just can’t hit delete and get rid of them.

She used to sit on our fireplace, watching over the room, she looked to front, to left to right, ensuring all was safe.
However behind, the fire it was not safe, from the gas mans check, the boiler declared unfit, a new one in a different local installed.
And now she lives on a candlestick, from where she checks the room, and secretly hopes that one day, we might add a magnetic broom.

This week I was sat looking up at the ceiling in my study, and was overcome with an urge to photograph it, due to the patterns that the light and resultant shadow were casting.

And I could not resist doing something else with the resultant picture, maybe an album cover?

This week Falco refused to sit still for his smiley portrait, instead he wanted to lick my fingers and the piece of paper.

This week photos from Shap Abbey in Cumbria.  The first photo is of a sign on a gatepost I assume signifying that this is the way to the abbey, I find it quirky and odd, so probably not that odd that I took a photo.

And the second photo is just to give you a bit of context as to the location.

While I do not rate this as an oddball from the perspective that I have taken it, it is after all a sculpture that I quite liked the look of.  I think it can qualify as an oddball due to the subject matter – Person sat reading on top of an oxen, is it comfy? Does it stay still? Perhaps they are reading a map and are lost!

Getting ready for a duck race at one of the dance events we go to, you might find that odd but it has become a traditional part of the event, I took this photo.

Walking around Lynmouth and Lynton I saw this, a kettle hung on a hanger in a garden.  It probably means something!
