Monk and sheep – Kammie’s Oddball Challenge: April 4, 2019

Each week Kammie challenges us to post an oddball photo:

Odd Ball Photos are those great photos that you take which really don’t seem to fit into a common category.  We’ve all taken them and like them, because we just can’t hit delete and get rid of them.

This week photos from Shap Abbey in Cumbria.  The first photo is of a sign on a gatepost I assume signifying that this is the way to the abbey, I find it quirky and odd, so probably not that odd that I took a photo.

And the second photo is just to give you a bit of context as to the location.

While I do not rate this as an oddball from the perspective that I have taken it, it is after all a sculpture that I quite liked the look of.  I think it can qualify as an oddball due to the subject matter – Person sat reading on top of an oxen, is it comfy? Does it stay still? Perhaps they are reading a map and are lost!

Getting ready for a duck race at one of the dance events we go to, you might find that odd but it has become a traditional part of the event, I took this photo.

Walking around Lynmouth and Lynton I saw this, a kettle hung on a hanger in a garden.  It probably means something!

So another photo from the same series that had the boots last week.  A photo of the tassels on the back of a friends long coat, his wife had woven/braided them, and I took the photo, the reasons are lost to history.
