Sinking – Weekly Prompts: Rectangular Prism & Bronze

This weekend GC and SueW have chosen the following as the theme for their challenge.

For the month of October I have chosen to highlight the color challenge BRONZE  for Susan and my site.

Many colors can be described as simple and the mere mention of it evokes certain types of personal memories towards it. Red, orange , green and yellow are such warm and welcoming colors to be sure.

I was away last week for the challenge, of  Rectangular Prism, but this sort of fits that also!

The actual material is Copper and Brass, but it has a bronzed colour so I feel I can get away with it as that is what the challenge was about :).

Elements – Lens Artists Photo Challenge #47 – Five Elements

This week we are challenged us with:

This week you have an opportunity to interpret metal, wood, water, fire, and/or earth with your favorite photos to express “…the only home we’ve ever known”. Feel free to choose one, two… or all five elements.

Ok so I had a think about how I might manage to get away with one photo for this weeks challenge, but try as I might I only managed three or four of the Chinese elements in one photo.

Oh well, so I have decided to use a photo taken at Sandymouth bay in Cornwall, I have used this location before for some posts, it is very photogenic, especially at sunset.  So here is the photo and a short explanation.

So the sun as Fire, the sea and waterfall as Water, the cliffs, pebbles and sand count as the Earth.  Now this is where it gets a bit hazy!  The camera used to take the photo has metal components, and I know that that pebble beach has driftwood on it, you just cannot see it in this photo.  Can I get away with that?

Kettle- Kammie’s Oddball Challenge – March 14, 2019

Each week Kammie challenges us to post an oddball photo:

Odd Ball Photos are those great photos that you take which really don’t seem to fit into a common category.  We’ve all taken them and like them, because we just can’t hit delete and get rid of them.

Walking around Lynmouth and Lynton I saw this, a kettle hung on a hanger in a garden.  It probably means something!

Reflective skull – Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge – Shiny

For this weeks Fun Foto Challenge Cee gives us the topic of ‘Shiny’.

Well there were a lot of photos that I could have used for this challenge, however I had already used most for other challenges, and I always like to use something new if possible, although I do sometimes forget what I have used before.

Anyway a previously unedited photo, taken for no apparent reason and therefore unedited, and it is metal and shiny!

So what previous challenge entrants would I have used?  Two come from something I  posted only yesterday, both my bass Tallulah and our new table are shiny, other thoughts were a toy Caterpillar, a shiny red tulip and a rose hip.
