Emergency – Weekly Prompts: Weekend Challenge – Ladders

This weekend GC and SueW have chosen the following as the theme for their challenge.

This weekend the Saturday challenge from partner GC and me is ‘LADDERS.’

The idea for this challenge came from our friend Ivor’s dream about a ladder.

Personally speaking, I’m not fond of climbing ladders, I’d much rather get someone else to climb up high and do the reaching!

So how will you address our challenge, will yours be a physical ladder or a virtual one?

Well I am now working from the ‘safety’ of my own home, I have the luxury of a job that enables me to do so. But please at this time spare a thought for all of those ‘Heroes’ out there whose roles just got that extra bit more difficult!

Giant Gnome – Tuesday Photo Challenge – Scale

This week Frank has challenged us with the topic:

I figured that after all that rather fine Junk of the past week, it might be time to get on the Scale (for me, at least). Thank you to Robert for inspiring this theme, as the junk scale left a guiding trace within my mind… Of course, we can do more than weigh with this theme, as we might use it to indicate the scale of things, or maybe some HO or N scale for model train fans… Even an occasional fish scale! It’s your choice and your imagination that will guide you along a path of fun and exciting imagery!

This ‘out of scale’ Gnome, looks set to terrorise ‘Abi’s Dashery’ and ‘Babs’ Big Baps Bakery’!

Model way – Which Way Challenge: February 14th, 2020

Each Friday San challenges us with the following:

The Which Way photo challenge is all about capturing the roads, walks, trails, rails, steps, signs, etc. we move from one place to another on. You can walk on them, climb them, drive them, ride on them, as long as the specific way is visible. Any angle of a bridge is acceptable as are any signs. There’s no topic to this challenge. All you need have is the “way” visible and the main focus of your photo.

I have been looking through the archives this week, and came across this photo, taken by my wife some years ago, edited by myself for this blog.

Slightly scary – Kammie’s Oddball Challenge: December 5th, 2019

Each week Kammie challenges us to post an oddball photo:

Odd Ball Photos are those great photos that you take which really don’t seem to fit into a common category.  We’ve all taken them and like them, because we just can’t hit delete and get rid of them.

Not sure which of these 3 are the scariest!

There was something incongruous about finding a ‘giant connect four’, in a model village that made me take a photo!

Giant woman, little people – Weekly Prompts: Big and Small

This weekend GC and SueW have chosen the following as the theme for their challenge.

This weekend GC and I give you BIG and SMALL as your Weekly Prompts Challenge.

Our initial thinking on this one was to challenge you to find pairs, opposites sizes etc. You, of course, may have other ideas, and that’s just fine with us.

Whichever way you choose to interpret our challenge, remember it’s flexible, and anything goes. Photos, Fiction, Poetry- it’s your choice, so have fun!

Well I did initially find a few photos of Big and Small with matching pairs, sheep and lambs, adults and children, cakes!

However I settled on this photo, probably the only time a husband gets to refer to his wife as ‘big’, or ‘Giant’, without being in trouble!
