For those of you who do not follow me on FB and G+, here is a link to the photos at this years Gower Folk Festival. And as a quick taster a shot of the Carrivick Sisters.
Well its a long time since I posted a photo here, just because I liked it. But working through some photos this morning I was processing this one, and I just like it, it makes me smile.
So here is my Pic of the Week –
Well I have finally finished editing the pictures taken on our holiday to Dartmoor in July 2015. Below is one of my favorites from the series.
For those of you who are not friends on facebook you can find the other photos here – Dartmoor July 2015, where you will find photos of ancient monuments, national trust properties, flowers, landscapes, and much more.
This weeks WordPress photo challenge is that of Grids. So here is a photo filled with lines and angles. It is a picture of the front of Castle Drogo which at present is undergoing renovation.
You can see more entrants to this weeks challenge here.
Now I have finally got the laptop back, photo editing can again begin in earnest, therefore I thought I would show you two photos from a recently finished set entitled ‘Down in the woods‘.
We are lucky enough to have a lovely wooded area behind our house, even though we have to live close to the city. This closeness to the natural world makes the 9-5 grind bearable. And so one day in April earlier this year we went for a walk down in the woods, both armed with our cameras, to see the bluebells before they all wilted.
We also hoped to see the highland cows who are residents down there, but alas they remained aloof. I took a fair few photos as is always the case, elongating a half hour walk into probably more like an hour and a half, but was pleased with most of the shots. So here are two for you ‘Black’ and ‘White’
The entire set of photos may be viewed here.
So here is my entrant for this weeks Weekly Photo Challenge: Early bird
This photo was taken fairly early in the morning at this years Rivenstone festival, and just to keep with the spirit of the challenge I have posted this early in the morning as well.
Been busy for a while, so posts here have been sporadic, therefore thought I would post a picture that I was working on this week. Others from this series can be seen here – The Kymin and Llanthony priory.
So another photo from the ‘Humphreys’ photo album, I think it is Harry rather than Mary, but I’m not sure. Out for a drive, and looking like extras from ‘Peaky blinders’.
This one had a few nasty tears and spots, but the photo was so evocative of the time I just had to rescue it.
Well I have been rather busy of late, and thus I’ve had little time to blog. So for a first image of 2015 one of my favourite places on this planet – St. Ives. It just so happens it’s of a little back road at night, and so eligible for Cee’s Black & White Challenge “Roadscapes” this week.
