For this weeks Friday Foto Fun we are asked to:
Please share your idea of ‘framed’ either through your lens or in your own words? Post a photo or get creative about frames … try some humour!
So here is a picture of my wife, framed by a sculpture.
This week Debbie has challenged us with the following:
Welcome to One word Sunday – over to all of you to join the challenge with your own contrast post.
So I have done a couple of contrast posts recently and wondered what I would have for this one. But a quick look at the albums made me start thinking about this shot, not just the contrast in the shot, but the contrast between the objects. I am fairly sure that this juxtaposition of solid versus holed objects would be what Barbara Hepworth wanted us to consider.
I felt the most intense pleasure in piercing the stone in order to make an abstract form and space; quite a different sensation from that of doing it for the purpose of realism. – Barbara Hepworth
Each week at XingfuMama we are asked to ‘Pull up a seat’.
So here is a shot pulled up from the archives.
I thought I would post something that slightly twists the brief for Cee’s B&W photo challenge this week, which is Sculptures, Statues, Carvings. So here I present for you “An Artists tools” a photo taken at a recent visit to the Barbera Hepworth museum.
