A single Tulip – Weekly Photo Challenge : Simplicity

This week Jenn at ‘Traveling at Wits End‘ asks:

This week our challenge is to photograph the simplicity of a scene which may mean making choices on what to leave out.

I love taking photos of flowers shooting slightly into the light and using a clear sky as a backdrop, though it is sometimes hard to isolate just one bloom.

Photograph the Color Orange

Well as I entitled last weeks submission ‘Banana’ the idea of orange made me chuckle, should I continue with the fruit theme, however it was one of those rare occasions when we do not have an orange, satsuma, or clementine in the house.  So instead here are some lovely tulips for you.

Royalty – Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge – Color of Your Choice

For this weeks Fun Foto Challenge Cee gives us the topic of a ‘Color of Your Choice’.

I am a particular fan of those colours that lie between Red and Blue on the colour wheel, Purple.  Deep purples, Royal purples, Magentas, Lilacs, in fact all shades of purple, especially when they are contrasted against green.  So here are some photos of natures colours of magic.
