This Month for the Photo for the Month, Bren asks:
This week’s challenge is Overlay.
I do make quite extensive use of overlays, however quite often they are scaled back to the point where they only just show, or are masked from portions of the image. However for this challenge I decided to use one of my favourites but to let it shine through, it is a sort of rainbow burn texture. So first the ‘mostly’ unedited photo.

And here is the image with the overlay added. I think it looks a little like it should be on an old chocolate box lid.

For this weeks Fun Foto Challenge Cee gives us the topic of ‘Texture’.
So just because I particularly like the textures in this shot taken at Mitchell’s Fold Stone Circle last year. . .

This week Aroused blog’s, Friday Foto Fun Challenge has the topic of Texture.
Please share your version of ‘texture’ either through your lens
or in your own words?
So here is a picture of one of the Tregeseal holed stones on Kendijack common, displaying some texture.
‘Circle stone’ – Kendijack common, Cornwall, 2014.
I take quite a few photos of texture the intent being use photos like this to provide texture in photoshop, for example to Fonts to get a letterpress effect among other things. A portion of the above was used to create the below.
For this weeks challenge I filtered through my photos for something with a bit of texture, and came up with this – Its a spider web inside the fogou at Carn Euny. If you do not know what a fogou is – well no one else does really either – a quick search online will furnish you with some answers.
