The big tree – Tuesday Photo Challenge – Trees, – #ThursdayTreeLove – 80

This week Frank has challenged us with the topic:

Among all the themes that I haven’t done yet, I was surprised to find Trees (or Tree) among them!

And every 2nd and 4th Thursday Parul at Happiness and Food, asks that we share pictures of Trees.

So here is a photo taken this weekend, a 3 photo stitch, while walking with friends in our local woodland, it is of a large oak tree.  When I was a child, if I had lived nearby, I am sure we would have called this ‘The big tree’, and arranged to meet here.

Arriving – Tuesday Photo Challenge – Transport

This week Frank has challenged us with the topic:

Your challenge is to share some of your favorite modes of transport, some of which I hope will be a bit unusual (penny-farthing, anyone?) I look forward to seeing your thoughts on this one!

Afraid this is not that unusual! nor is it my favorite, as I usually suffer due to a morning/evening commute on sometimes overcrowded and delayed South Wales trains! But this train is probably carrying holiday makers looking forward to their weekend away.  I think I do actually have a photo of at least 1 penny-farthing, but will tantalisingly withhold it for now 🙂

Gateway to wishes – Tuesday Photo Challenge – Portal

This week Frank has challenged us with the topic:

As this is the first Tuesday Photo Challenge in the new year, I went looking for ideas that might be appropriate for this auspicious occasion. Going from the old to the new reminded me of passing from one room into the next, which led me to the theme of Portal. Of course, there are many types of portals to be found around the world, which makes me look forward to discover which among them will appear in your posts.

Out with the old – Tuesday Photo Challenge – Retrospective

This week Frank has challenged us with the topic:

After recovering from the holiday season (or not quite yet), and reading all of your wonderful posts, I thought it might be fun to ring in the New Year! As we also come to the end of a decade (don’t start me on counting…), we’re seeing a lot of retrospectives, so let’s have our theme be Retrospective! Feel free to look back across 2019 or the 2010s, or whatever comes to your creative mind, when you are feeling retrospective!

So a shot from last year for you, re-imagined in a new way for the new year.

Wishing you all a happy new year.

In the midst of the . . . – Tuesday Photo Challenge – Mist

This week Frank has challenged us with the topic:

Mist is more than just a fog, as it can also be a gentle, diffuse rain, which can provide very interesting light play. Unleash your creative brains and let them play with the theme to come up with those cool ideas that float around!

Have a lot of fun with this theme and make sure that no possible opportunity is missed (yes, I know…punny!)

Well another moment where I knew which series, the photos would use, would come from – this time way back in 2014.  And I could not resist my own pun with the blog title.

Heart – Tuesday Photo Challenge – Glow

This week Frank has challenged us with the topic:

I think that the interesting part of this challenge will be your choice of direction with the theme of Glow…will you opt for the glow of an ember, a firefly, or the glowing praise that is heaped on a great performance? There are many choices, so feel free to push the boundaries and shoot for that glowing review!

We as soon as I read the prompt I knew I would have to return to last years evening strolls alongside the Nith, the golden glow of the setting sun reflected in the water, and the warm glow it brings to my heart when I think back.

Otherworld – Tuesday Photo Challenge – Fantasy

This week Frank has challenged us with the topic:

Your challenge is to use the theme of Fantasy and take it into your choice of creative directions; be it an image of your fantasy location, a fantasy that is in your mind, or whatever speaks fantasy to you!

Well this is the sort of thing that is going on inside my mind when I visit these ancient sites anyway, so a photo to echo my feelings.

Coast from Coast – Tuesday Photo Challenge – Coast

This week Frank has challenged us with the topic:

So this week, your challenge is to find a Coast and share your impressions of it, or simply Coast along in your automobile and enjoy the countryside floating by.

I have mentioned several times that when we go to Cornwall we sometimes like to stay in a vegetarian B&B called Coast.  So here is a photo of the Coast in Cornwall, taken from the window of the Coast B&B, a 2 photo stitch.

Penwith sunset – Tuesday Photo Challenge – Sunset

Last Tuesday Frank challenged us with the topic:

For this challenge, please share your favorite sunset moments, whether they are at the beach, at the city or over the mountains. I’m very much looking forward to seeing your images here.

A favourite sunset because it would mean we were in West Penwith, Cornwall, travelling along that marvellous stretch of mystical road between St. Ives and St. Just. A 4 photo stitch.
