Evening stones – Which Way Challenge: September 20th, 2019

First of all a big thank you to San at ‘Alive and Trekking‘ who has taken over the hosting of this challenge from sonofabeach96 who has been at the helm for some time now.  Each Friday Sam will now challenge us with the following:

The Which Way photo challenge is all about capturing the roads, walks, trails, rails, steps, signs, etc. we move from one place to another on. You can walk on them, climb them, drive them, ride on them, as long as the specific way is visible. Any angle of a bridge is acceptable as are any signs. There’s no topic to this challenge. All you need have is the “way” visible and the main focus of your photo.

For this first week with Sam at the helm I thought I would choose a photo from my archives, those of you who follow me know from recent posts I may have been perusing some old photos recently.  Well this one drew my attention,  I am going to go out on a limb and say it has 3 ways! A path to and through the stones for the modern visitor, the road way that runs along side, visible by its hedgerow, and maybe just a glimpse of the sacred ancient way!

Yesterday I said goodbye to a friend, it feels strange that I will not see him again in the physical world, this was a place I first visited with him, and it was a place we visited on one of the last occasions I saw him, goodbye for now dear chap, I will see you for the B side.  Near this spot we both made decisions that would change and shape our future lives, the results of which made us both happy, it seems odd that I chose to revisit this place this year, but somehow right.

Therefore this week I chose this way:
